PIPELINE customer to speak at STO 2011 Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana


PIPELINE customer Southern California Edison - San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station to discuss integrated asset planning for nuclear power plants.

SANTA ANA, Calif., June 15, 2011- Pipeline Software, Inc. and Maxavera product customer Southern California Edison – San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station presented a case study for integrated asset planning and successful implementation of Maxavera for SAP to Primavera integration at the 2011 SAP STO (Shutdowns, Turnarounds and Outages) conference in Louisiana.

The STO conference delivers thought-provoking insight and in-depth content covering the most challenging shutdown issues companies are facing today. STO is a community of maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, supply chain, production, purchasing, suppliers, human resources and financial professionals who are dedicated to sharing experiences, learning from one another, and exploring innovative and forward-thinking solutions and technologies.

Southern California Edison's San Onofre Nuclear Generations Station (SONGS) is comprised of two twin reactor units in Southern California. The units are the largest and most reliable sources of electricity in Southern California. The units can generate 2,200 megawatts of power, enough to meet the needs of 1.4 million average Southern California homes.

SONGS' presentation titled "Integrated Asset Planning for Nuclear Power Plants" will be delivered by Matt Kohal, Work Control Project Controls Manager. The presentation will detail how SONGS optimizes outage management through the integration of SAP and Primavera using PIPELINE's Maxavera solution to streamline key business processes, increase productivity, and reduce data errors.

The three day event took place at the Marriott in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hundreds of STO professionals and thought-leaders attend from the utilities, oil & gas, chemical, food & beverage, automotive, mining, milling, healthcare, aerospace & defense, pharmaceuticals, and pulp & paper industries. Delegates come to participate in presentations, case studies, brainstorming sessions, and industry networking.
